Chernivtsi IT Cluster turns 5!

On June 20, we celebrated our fifth anniversary together with representatives of IT business, local authorities, educational institutions and Chernivtsi business.

Over the years, we have become a platform that unites the efforts of business, authorities and education for the development of IT in the region. We have helped relocated companies, established effective communication with local authorities and the Ministry of Digital Economy, support IT education, hold monthly events and organize professional conferences - AI Hills, HR Hills, QA Hills.

Cluster CEO Dmytro Shkilniuk presented the organization's achievements over 5 years.

🎤 During the celebration, we held two panel discussions that brought together key players from the region and the country:

The participants discussed how to improve the IT ecosystem in Chernivtsi through joint efforts:
– Yevhen Makhovikov, Deputy Mayor
– Mykola Huytor, First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Council
– Valentyn Pabat, Deputy Head of the Chernivtsi Regional Development Office (CDTO)
– Ruslan Biloskursky, Rector of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University

The topics of supporting startups, the digital transformation of the region, and the role of the university in training new personnel were raised.

📍 Panel discussion: “Current and future challenges of Ukrainian IT”
Discussion of the current state and prospects of the industry with the participation of national leaders:

– Taras Kytsmey, co-founder and member of the Board of Directors of SoftServe, President of the IT Ukraine Association
– Maria Shevchuk, Executive Director of the IT Ukraine Association
– Ruslana Tovtyn, Head of the Western Regional Department of Retail Business, UKRSIBBANK
– Yaryna Voznyak, Head of the Research Team of the Lviv IT Cluster

The participants discussed the competitiveness of Ukrainian IT companies, the impact of the war on the market, the future of digital services and the need to strengthen cooperation between clusters.
